OUTAGE UPDATE
The news is reporting that it could be weeks, if not months before the gas service gets restored to all the cusomers affected by the gas outage in the Merrimack Valley. There are some things you need to have done in your home prior to your gas being turned on.
ALL the gas piping in your home will need to undergo a pressure test in order to make sure that your gas piping was not damaged during the high pressure event.
All of your gas appliances must be inspected and in most cases have the gas valves and regulators replaced. (Most gas valves are rated for only 1/2 P.S.I.). This appliance inspection may also lead to an apppliance needing to be replaced.
A licensed Gas Fitter or Plumber MUST obtain a permit and stand an inspection by the local Gas and Plumbing inspector.
The gas company will require proof of permit and inspection prior to restoring your gas service.
We are fully licensed and insured to perform all of this work.
